Aug/Sept: Highlights

Look and create - Van gogh flowers

Our artists will take inspiration from Vincent Van Gogh’s iconic sunflower still lifes to create stunning mixed-media masterpieces! Students will observe real or reference still lifes and paint expressive 2D backgrounds in Van Gogh’s style, filled with texture, movement, and color.

To bring their work to life, they will craft 3D paper sunflowers, adding depth and dimension by layering, shaping, and gluing their flowers right onto the canvas.

Mixed Media - Andy Warhol Prints

Students will explore the bold world of Pop Art through the lens of Andy Warhol’s iconic prints. Using Styrofoam printing plates, our young artists will create repeated images inspired by everyday objects, animals, or self-portraits — just like Warhol’s famous works!

They will carve into foam sheets, roll on ink, and press their designs onto colorful paper backgrounds. The result? Bright, graphic prints with a modern, playful twist

BRUSH BASH: Paint Party

Dive into an afternoon of painting fun where young artists blend, dab, and layer vibrant colors to bring their ideas to life on canvas. With lively music, cheerful vibes, and plenty of imagination, it’s the perfect way to celebrate—everyone leaves with their own one-of-a-kind artwork!
